"Freedom", trompe L'oeil oil on panel, signed lower right. Apprx panel size 6" x 8", overall with frame apprx 11-1/2" x 13-1/2". Painting shows a torn five dollar bill with an American flag, pinned to the another, larger American flag. Born in Abilene, Texas, Gayle Tate earned a BS in 1967 from Florida State University and lives in Laramie, Wyoming. He has extensive auction records and is a favorite of collectors of trompe l'oeil works.
