| 207. Harold Altman (American, 1924-2003)
"Figures and Awnings II". Aquatint on paper, signed in pencil lower right, titled lower center margin and "Edition 65" lower left. Altman, who was born in New York in 1924, is best known for his etchings and lithographs. His subjects are figures in landscapes, focusing on soft and serene scenes connecting people to nature. This early and rare etching is rather dark, depicting four figures walking away from awnings. This piece is similar to the "Let There be Light" etching from "The Magpie".
