400. Copeland Porcelain Irish Wolfhound
Parian wolfhound statue from Copeland porcelain. Parian is a creamy-white, slightly translucent porcelain, deliberately designed to look like the fine marble from the island of Paros which was used in classical times for important statues. Copeland & Garrett were the first to sell the new Parian ware. This statue of an Irish Wolfhound shows the dog in a reclining position. He appears to have an observant look in his eyes. Verso of the piece is marked with the name "Copeland." Small hole drilled in porcelain about marking. Measures apprx 11" x 15."

401. Poreclain Cat Chamber Pot, Early 19th Century
This porcelain cat shaped chamber pot is likely to have come from a larger set, which would have included a second chamber pot, wash bowl, toothbrush holder and soap dish. While lidded chamber pots were not unusual, this particular pot is unique in that it is shaped like a cat. The pot itself is the body while the lid is the head of the cat. It was meant to be used as a gentlemen's urinal. The cat is decorated with blue and white glaze and has no visible identifying marks.

402. English Newhall Bowl C.1790-1810
English Newhall porcelain footed bowl features hand-painted wild flowers around the outer edges. Interior has a small pink flower in center of bowl, with upper rim painted with pink, orange and black wildflowers. Letters on verso read "N3 11." Measures apprx 2-3/4"T x 6"D.

403. Quimper French Tableware
Designed and painted by Henriot, this set of Quimper tableware features two large luncheon plates with dutchwoman in the center. They are accented by bands of blue, gold and green and measure apprx 9-3/4" in diameter. This lot also features two smaller salad plates with matching design that measure apprx 9". One salad plate has dutchman in center. Bread plate measures apprx 6" and has dutchman in center. This service also includes one apprx 5-3/4" saucer with simple blue and gold stripe pattern, two apprx 5" tea saucers with blue and white wildflower design, one apprx 6" cereal bowl, one apprx 7" double handled bowl, one apprx 5-3/4" double handled bowl, two apprx 7-1/2" teardrop shaped platters, one apprx 3-1/2" mug, one apprx 6-3/4" double handled sugar bowl, one apprx 7" creamer and one apprx 3-3/4" jam tray. Each piece is marked on the verso "Henriot Quimper, France."

20th century beer stein features a medieval style crest on front, accented with gold bands around neck and base. Unmarked, decorative handle accented with gold. Ornate pewter lid. This stein is unique in that when held up to the light a lithopane depicting a nude female figure is visible in the base. Measures apprx 9-1/2" x 4-1/2."
