Gentleman's sterling silver travel set includes nail buffer, nail file, scissors, cuticle pusher, and a jar for face cream. Each piece is hallmarked English silver from Birmingham, 1918, letters "L&S". Some pieces also read "Sheffield". Set comes in a box lined with purple velvet and satin. Box overall apprx 2"H x 8"L x 4-1/2"W.

Exquisite set of sterling silver with gold wash and enamel demitasse spoons. Six spoons in mint green, red, royal blue, yellow and lavender. Each spoon is hallmarked with the Birmingham mark. The back of each spoon has been enameled in vibrant colors on bowl and handle. Full hallmarks date 1776-77 along with initals "H.C.D.". Spoons come in an original case lined with white velvet. Interior marked "Sam Lyon June, Diamond Merchant, Blackpool (England)." Each spoon apprx 3-3/4"L. Weighs apprx 2.0 Troy oz.

Sterling silver berry spoons made by Peter, Anne & William Bateman. Hand chased fruit in bowls with a gold washed interior, each spoon has a scalloped edged bowl and chased flowers on handles. Verso of shank has full London hallmarks and dated 1800. Spoons come with blue case lined with white satin and blue velvet. Spoons apprx 8-1/4"L. Apprx 2.8 Troy oz.

Apprx 10"T, finial atop pierced cap, fluted lid and open work body. Body is decorated with floral swags, ribbons and bows, and two oval cartouches (not monogrammed).

A wonderful hand chased sterling silver master cellar. Double winged dragon handles and Rocco ferns and scrolls. Both sides feature oval cartouches, without monograms. Interior has evidence of gold wash. Stamped 800 with a fleur-de-lis on verso. Overall weight is apprx 7.7 Troy oz. Measures apprx. 3-1/2" x 8-3/4" x 3-1/4".

Proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Lyric Opera, Cleveland. Exquisite floral repousse tea service in the manner of Kirk sterling. This tea service is comprised of one tea pot with hinged lid measuring apprx 7" x 10," one coffee pot with hinged lid measuring apprx 9" x 10," one creamer measuring apprx 4-1/2" x 5," one sugar with detachable lid measuring apprx 6" x 8" and one condiment jar measuring apprx 3-1/2" x 4-1/2." Repousse design on each piece features daisies, morning glories as well as acanthus leaves and grape vines. Ivory insulators on coffee and tea pots. Tea pot is marked "Jenkins & Jenkins INC, makers, Baltimore." Engraved initials on verso of tea pot are L.B.S. Tea pot, coffee pot and sugar have floral finial and leaf handles. Overall weight is apprx 93.2 Troy oz.

Proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Lyric Opera, Cleveland. Sterling silver repousse ewer with pedestal base and angled handle. It features ornate floral pattern and is engraved with intials H.G. Measures apprx 8" x 5-1/2", no visible marks. Repousse covered butter dish features a similar floral pattern of roses, daisies and birds. Floral finial tops the lid to the dish. The butter dish comes with pierced liner which was used to place over an ice bath to keep butter from melting. Verso stamped "A.E. Warner." Measures apprx 7" x 8." Overall weighs apprx 29 Troy oz.

English Sterling Silver Fruit Set, C.1803-04

215. English Sterling Silver Fruit Set, C.1803-04


Sterling silver fruit set hallmarked London silver, apprx 1803-04. Markings to identify date and location are stamped on the shanks of forks, but due to overpolishing are virtually rubbed out. A crowned leopard's head is visible, as well as a profile of King George III and the letter H in a cartouche. This set consists of six apprx 8-3/4" fruit knives and six apprx 7" strawberry forks, for a total of twelve pieces. The shanks of all the pieces are designed to resemble fluted columns accented with curved acanthus leaves. A family crest depicting a griffin has been etched into the tip of each handle. Overall weight is apprx 19.1 Troy oz.
