270. Tiffany Favrille Red & Gold Vase
This vase has paper label and full pontil. Red decorated and gold over ivory or off-white case glass. Design is wavy lines of varying width with ribbed body. Red is the rarest Tiffany color. Purchased at Opal Sallee in Kokomo, Indiana in 1975, receipt accompanying the lot. Apprx 6-1/2"H x 4" at shoulder x 1-3/8" opening.

271. A Signed Tiffany Cypriote Vase
An extremly rare type of Tiffany, a very good example of aged glass, iridescence, broken bubbles, in tan, blue, green, and copper colors. Etched on verso with numbers 8328 and L.C. Tiffany Favrille. Has the sales sticker from Opal Sallee Antiques on verso. Apprx 4-1/4" x 1-6/8" base x 3"shoulder x 1-1/2" opening.

Heavily gold enameled decoration of blossoms, leaves and branches on a painted Burmese background. Double handles on a tapered body and flared opening. Vase is signed on verso and numbered 509. This is the same piece as in Grover's Art Glass Nouveau book, page 43, plate 54, from the Osofsky collection. Apprx 15"H x 5-1/2" at widest x 4-3/4" at handles.

Iridescent blue with green, purple and gold tones. Silver threading at top creates a 2-1/2" thick band. The vase is attached to a pedestal base with ball center. Loetz glassworks was founded in 1840 by Johann Loetz. Loetz glassware is characterized by its opalescent coloring and pinched, organic shapes. This Loetz vase features a tapered neck in a pinched and twisted form. The base of the glass is a soft mint-green with purple, blue, white and gold opalescent swirls. Polished upper rim. Measures apprx 8-1/2" x 5".

Fully signed on collar, gold over white in feathered and swirled design over the rounded portion, while the lower flared area is gold over white in a sort of "ladder" design.
