419. Moorcroft Pomegranate Vase
The silver collar at top of this vase is hallmarked. The background is dark blue with pomegranates, berries and leaves, in shades of red, gold, green and purple. Impressed "Moorcroft Made in England 18" on verso. Apprx 5"T x 3" at shoulder x 2-1/4" at rim.

420. A Lovely Pair of English Spode Plates, circa 1830
These shell plates are beautifully decorated in the Chinese style with floral boarders and a central partial pagoda scene showing a mother and child at the seaside with a ship sailing in the distance. The front of the plate has lovely gold decoration as well. One plate has more black highlights than the other, including black hair on the mother and the child and black details to the roof of the pagoda and black marking on the verso. They are marked 3067, in different colors on the verso. They are apprx 1-3/4" x 8" x 9-1/2".

A ceramic pedestal has a green and brown speckeled glaze. Flat top supports a rounded two-handled matching planter. Flared base and hollow interior. Pedestal measures apprx 8-1/2" x 7" and planter measures apprx 4-1/2" x 8".

This set features raccoons, issued in 1973, squirrels, issued in 1979, eastern chipmunks, issued in 1976, martens, issued in 1981, river otters, issued in 1982, cottontail rabbits, issued in 1975, beavers, issued in 1977, bobcats, issued in 1980, red foxes, issued in 1974, and whitetail deer, issued in 1978. Lenox and Boehm are widely known for their series of commemorative wildlife plates. Each plate is trimmed with 24K gold. Each plate measures apprx 10-1/2" in diameter and is signed "Boehm" on front and stamped with Lenox identification on verso.

Set of eleven hand-painted dishes measuring apprx 8" in diameter. Each plate has been hand-painted with a different bird. Edges of each plate are lined in gold. This set of dishes also contains two bowls on pedestal bases, measuring apprx 3-1/2" x 8-1/2." These also feature hand painted birds and gold lining around the edges and the bases. All plates are unsigned.

424. Set of Six Royal Doulton Character Mugs
Set of six Royal Doulton toby mugs. This set includes characters such as the Beefeater, the Master, the Guardsman, the Lawyer, King Edward VII and Henry VIII. Beefeater is dated 1946 and has a hand-painted 13 on verso of the base. The Master is dated 1991 and is numbered 26, as well as stamped with the signature of Stanley James Taylor. The Guardsman is dated 1986 and is also stamped with the signature of Stanley James Taylor. The Lawyer is dated 1958 and stamped with an illegible signature. King Edward VII is particularly interesting because he is a limited edition. On verso of base is a handwritten number, 1893, as well as a certificate of authenticity signed by Stuart R. Lyons, chairman of Royal Doulton Ltd. Henry VIII is dated 1975 and is stamped with a signature on verso of base and hand-painted with the number 71. Each mug is intricately detailed and features decorative handles appropriate to the character. Measure apprx 3-1/2" x 4-1/2".

Diverse set of seven Royal Doulton toby mugs features such characters as the Trapper, The Snooker Player, the Falconer, Auld Mac, the Veteran Motorist, Sancho Panca and Bacchus. Each mug has features a decorative handle and Royal Doulton hallmark on verso of base. The Trapper is dated 1966. The Snooker Player is dated 1990 and has a stamped signature of Stanley James Taylor on verso as well. The Falconer is dated 1959. Auld Mac has no date but is stamped with the serial number D5824. The Veteran Motorist is dated 1972. Sancho Panca (a servant to Don Quixote) is dated 1956 and has a hand-painted number 50 on verso. Bacchus is dated 1958. Each mug has intricate details ranging from hand-painted grapes to animals and gaming equipment. All mugs measure apprx 3-1/2" x 4-1/2"

426. Large Royal Doulton Character Mugs
This set of four large Royal Doulton toby mugs features the characters The Lord Mayor of London, the Guardsman, the Fireman, and the London Bobby. The Mayor of London wears a ruffled lace collar and sports a black cap and gold medallion. Dated 1990 this figure has been stamped on verso of base by Stanley James Taylor. The Guardsman figure features the tall fur hat typically worn by the Royal Guard of London. He is dated 1986 and signed by Stanley James Taylor as well. The London Bobby wears a police helmet ornamented with a metropolitan police badge. He is dated 1985 and signed on verso of base by Taylor. The fireman wears a fire helmet and the handle is a firehose. The fireman is dated 1952 and was been designed by Jerry D. Griffith. Each mug measures apprx 6-1/2" x 9".

427. Large Royal Doulton Character Jugs
This set of four Royal Doulton character mugs includes Mae West from the celebrity collection, Louis Armstrong from the celebrity collection, Marc Anthony and Cleopatra from the Star-Crossed Lovers series and the Lord Mayor of London. Mae West wears a fur stole and has blonde hair. Dated 1982, her signature is stamped on verso of the base. Louis Armstrong is dated 1983 and is stamped on verso with his signature. Armstrong features a tuxedo and the handle is a trumpet. Marc Anthony and Cleopatra from the Star-Crossed Lovers series is a double sided jug. Cleopatra features long black hair and Egypitan crown while Anthony is accented by a hawk and sword. Signed and dated 1985 on verso of base and numbered 2968/9500. The Lord Mayor of London features a ruffled collar and gold medallion. He is dated 1990 and stamped with the signature of Stanley James Taylor. All pieces are stamped with the Royal Doulton hallmark and measure apprx 7" x 8".

428. Large Royal Doulton Character Mugs
Another set of Royal Doulton toby mugs featuring the characters of Monty, Rip Van Winkle, Neptune and Hamlet. Monty is a military character, with a beret and military green uniform. Although there is no date on verso of base, there is a serial number of D6202. Rip Van Winkle has craggy skin and a long gray beard. He is dated 1954. Neptune, the god of the sea, wears a crown of shells and has a flowing white beard. He is dated 1960. Hamlet is from the Shakespearean collection and dated 1982. Hamlet features a skull at the base of the handle and a cap with a feather. Each mug features the Royal Doulton hallmark and have a serial number. Mugs measure apprx 5" x 9".
