302. Victorian Cut Velvet Vase Mauve colored diamond quilting over white casing. Ruffled and flared opening. Pontil not polished, small flakes in glass near pontil. Apprx 6-1/4"T x 3" at widest point. Glass is blown into a mold to create a raised surface design. Cut velvet was made by both American and European companies during the Victorian era and none were marked, so attribution is difficult. 100/200 Sold: $57.50 |
