"Louisiana Heron", hand colored engraving. Before coming the United States from Romania, Dan Mitra worked as a graphic designer for both theatre and cinema. After moving to the United States, Mitra began experimenting with etching. This large scale etching of a Louisiana Heron is very rich and detailed. Hand colored and numbered 280/2000. Framed and matted this image measures apprx 42-1/2" x 31-1/4". Signed in pencil in lower right corner.

Two hand colored engravings entitled "Black Stallion" and "Fury". "Black Stallion" depicts a black horse rising up on hind legs with mane and tail blowing in the wind. Signed "Dan Mitra" in lower right corner and numbered 55/750 in center. Second print depicts a very similar black horse, also rising up on hind legs with mand and tail blowing in the wind. "Fury" is the companion piece to "Black Stallion." Fury is numbered 60/750. Titled in lower left. Archival mat and frame, apprx 32-1/4" x 25-3/4".
