383. Art Nouveau Candlesticks
Pair of silver plated candlesticks have a decorative base, accented with flower petals and leaves. Verso of base is marked "Barbour S.P. and Co, International S. Co." Stems of candlesticks are accented by a tall leaf design. Candle holder has been designed to resemble a flower bud. Verso of base is also engraved with the number "M3772." Barbour S.P. and Co. was founded in the late 1880's and was later purchased by the International Silver Co. in 1898. Measures apprx 14" x 5-1/2."

384. Nautical Copper Plaque
Nautical copper plaque has reportedly been exhibited at the Columbian Exposition. This plaque features one large round medallion with a shipwreck scene in the center. This medallion is flanked by two round medallions on each side. Right side depicts Neptune, the god of the sea, as well as a set of weather forecasting equipment. Left side depicts two mermaids and a compass. A celestial sun carried by angels accents the top of the shipwreck scene. Plaque measures apprx 19" x 29-1/2."

385. A Rosewood Tea Caddy, C. 19th Century
Antique wood tea caddy is divided into three sections. Center section has rounded compartment lined with rose-colored velvet. Remaining two sections are empty. Hinged lid closes and has a mother-of-pearl lock. Exterior of box is varnished and has a lovely warm red/brown color. Red paper was originally glued to verso and now is peeling off. No visible markings. Box measures apprx 13" x 7" x 7."

Charming Victorian brass birdcage is dated c. 1870. Oriental style with pagoda architecture. Small ceramic tray is attached to bars, and would be filled with water. Round brass hook attached to top for hanging. Unmarked. Measures apprx 18" x 14-1/2" x 8."

387. Cast White Spelter Plaque
Cast white Spelter plaque is adorned by acanthus leaves and cherubs. Plaque itself features a round medallion-like center with upraised figures of a woman playing a horn and a man watching her from behind a tree. A small animal lies at the woman's feet. It is surrounded by foliage and German writing at the bottom reads "Der trompeter von sackingen die ucberrasehung." Measures apprx 10-1/2" square.
