351. A Lovely Inlaid Pembroke Table

A Pembroke table of Santo Domingo mahogany, with satinwood banding, and ebony inlay, circa mid to late 1800s. It has shaped leaves and a central one-way drawer with brass backplates in oval form with bail handles of conforming shape attatched on each side to the oval back plates, on either side of the drawer. It is likely that the brasses are not original. The tapered legs are inlaid with satinwood banding and ebony inlay and end in brass casters. The table is apprx 29-1/2"H x 31"W x 21-3/4"L when closed and apprx 40-1/4" when open.
