| 220. European Sterling Silver Flatware, C. 19th Century
Set of hallmarked European silver includes two apprx 9" serving spoons hallmarked with a fleur-de-lis and the number 84. This set also includes one apprx 8-1/2" place spoon with identical hallmark, and stamped "Szekman" on the shank of the spoon, two apprx 8" place forks that are stamped 84, O.C. 1871, Wernerisa" on the handles, one apprx 7-1/2" dinner fork that is stamped 875 on the handle, four apprx 5-1/2" teaspoons hallmarked Chester, early 1800's and engraved with the initials H.J.W, five apprx 5" demitasse spoons, hallmarked English silver, from apprx mid 19th century. The tip of the handle on these spoons features a small rattail on each. Other flatware in this set includes seven apprx 5-1/2" teaspoons hallmarked Newcastle, or possibly Chester, early 1800's. These spoons have been engraved with the initials M.M.B. Some miscellaneous flatware in this set includes an apprx 4" salt spoon hallmarked English silver, an apprx 6" unmarked fruit knife, an apprx 5" soup spoon, hallmarked English silver and one apprx 5-1/4" demitasse spoon hallmarked English silver, for a total of 23 pieces that weigh apprx 24.8 Troy oz. 100/300 Sold $184.00 back to catalog |
