Collection of 6 etchings by Gerard de Lairesse. All of the etchings depict "Cupid" in Roman allegorical scenes. Four etchings are on laid paper, apprx plate size: 8 1/4" x 6 1/2"; overall size: 9 1/4" x 7". Two etchings are mounted on paper, apprx image sizes: 2 1/2" x 4" and 4" x 2 3/4".
Known as the "Dutch Poussin," Lairesse was influenced by classical French and Roman art mingled with the Flemish Baroque.
