| 251. Decorative Bronze Philosopher
Bronze figure of a man posed in thought, dated apprx 1890. He sits on a four-legged stool with one hand up to his cheek, a thoughtful expression on his face. He wears a classical Roman garment and props his feet up on a trunk. Much attention has been paid to the details in the man's face as well as his garments. A rounded panel painting sits beneath the chair and he rests his right arm on a scroll. It is originally from a clock. Bronze has greenish-brown patina.
