| 244. Auguste Moreau (French, 1834-1917)
Bronze sculpture is entitled "L'Aurore". She stands draped in a flimsy robe with her arms outstretched behind her holding onto an arch shaped device. She is attached to green marble pedestal. Small plaque in front of sculpture indentifies the title as well as artist. Signed Moreau on verso. Overall measures apprx 25" x 7". Auguste Moreau was a student of Mathurin Moreau and exhibited in the Salons of Paris from 1861 through 1910. 800/1,200 Sold $805.00 back to catalog |
