| 162. Paul Bough Travis (American, 1891-1975)
Lithograph, entitled "Pygmies Hunting Elephants". Signed in pencil Paul B. Travis '73. Title is located in lower left corner. Image size apprx 22" x 16-3/8", overall with frame apprx 31-7/8" x 36". Travis graduated from the Cleveland School of Art then served in the Army in World War I. He remained in Europe for several years where he taught art at various American universities. After traveling to Africa in 1927 Travis used his experiences as inspiration for many of his works of art, including watercolors and printwork. 500/700 Sold $230.00 back to catalog |
