| 253. Antoine Bofill (early 20th Century)
A diminutive gilt bronze sculpture of a young child wrapped in a hooded cloak. The carved ivory face is quite detailed. It is inscribed "Bofill" on the base. Antoine Bofill was born in Barcelona in the late 19th Century. He flourished in the early 20th century, specializing in small figures and groups. Bofill was a student at the Academy of Beaux Arts in Barcelona and exhibited at the Salon of the Society des Artistes Francais from 1901 to the 1920's.
