A signed hand-painted landscape vase in lavender tones, over cased glass with glass over the painting. Square neck and opening which flares out towards the base. Well ground pontil and acid etched signatures on base and side near base. Both areas are marked with white removable marker. Apprx 10-1/4"T x 3-1/2" at base.

234. Fry Cut Crystal Bowl, Early 20th Century
A deeply carved lead crystal bowl with a band at rim decorated in the swastika pattern. Acid etched "Fry" in center of bowl, overall apprx 3-3/4"T x 8"D. The Swastika is the oldest cross and emblem in the world. It has been found in ancient Rome, excavations in Grecian cities, on Buddhist idols, on Chinese coins dated 315 B.C., and Southwest Indians use it as an amulet to ward off evil.
