Lovely hand painted ormolu porcelain bowl from the Sevres factory with over glaze blue mark. The Vincennes (later Sèvres) factory was established in 1738 at the Château de Vincennes in France. This bowl has an encased rim with bead work and handles accented by ribbon-like designs. It rests in a base with six paw legs joined by laurel swags. Base is stamped "France, Ovington New York". The hand-painted interior features beautiful pink, peach and violet-colored roses against a gilded and striped background with an oval center with a porcelain background and seven buds. Overall measures apprx 15" x 8-1/2" x 5".

Hand-painted reticulated basket features gilded edges and applied "stalk" handles. The interior is hand-painted with birds on branches and butterflies. Four padded felt feet are attached to verso of basket. It measures apprx 18" x 11" x 6". Signed Herend Hungary on verso in blue. Verso is also stamped with Herend crest as well as the number 7405 RO.

Large Meissen style porcelain figural depicts lovely ladies preparing for a ball with an attendant. The seated lady holds a fan, while her companion fusses over her hair. Next to them stands a porcelain dresser with a detachable mirror, held by nuts and bolts. Gilt roses are scattered on the floor. Each lady has delicate lace trim on her gown. A gold crown accents the front of the piece. The entire piece is hand decorated. It is signed with a blue under glazed mark. Overall, measures apprx 14" x 15-1/2" x 11".

286. "Voiture de Mariage de Napoleon I" Continental Porcelain, C. 19th Century


A hand-painted porcelain scene depicting the marriage carriage of Napoleon I. The royal carriage, accented by a crown and coat-of-arms is pulled by four white horses. The carriage is attended by two footmen, two drivers and one guard. The base of this piece is inscribed "Voiture de Mariage de Napoleon I". Carriage is accented by gilt and there are leather harnesses. The bride and groom are visible inside the carriage with wonderful detail. Base is brass and was constructed for lighting. Overall, measures apprx 26" x 13-1/2" x 9".

Pair of bisque figures are dressed in matching gold and white outfits. The female figure wears a gold and white gown with white stockings and gold slippers. She wears a gold trimmed hat. Her cheeks have a soft, rosy glow. Male figure is dressed in similarly-styled breeches and coat. He also has a white and gold lace cravat. He carries a gold feather fan. Appendages on each piece are intact. Both figures stand against a tree base. Male and female figures measure apprx 28" x 11" x 8". Unidentified marking on verso.

A set of four hand-painted floral decorated porcelain snuffs, each marked "Limoges". Two pill boxes are heart shaped and the other two are in the shape of tiny purses. Each purse has a delicate metal chain. Ranging in size from 3" x 2-1/2" to 2" x 1-1/2".

Pair of porcelain figures in a Meissen style with scrolled footed bases. Pair of figures features a lovely lady wearing a tiered gown with lace ruffles. Hand-painted with polychrome enamels and detailed in gilt. She holds a small bouquet of flowers in her hand. Male figure wears blue breeches and a berry-colored coat. He also clutches a bouquet of flowers in one hand and his cream-colored glove in the other hand. Female figure measures apprx 17" x 13" x 11". Male figure measures apprx 17" x 11' x 9". Verso of both figure reads "Made in Italy" and the image of a crown over the letter "N", both of which are hand-painted in gold, possibly early Capodimonte.

A pair of hand-painted snuffs, one in the shape of a heart, the other is oval shaped. Heart shaped box is hand painted in blue with gold and white floral accents. Interior is adorned with a simple pink rose. Verso states this piece is "Hand-Painted, Made in France, 1982." Second box is stamped "Porcelaine de Paris, France, depuis 1771" on verso. Exterior is hand-painted with blue semi-circles and accented with pink and green flowers. Interior is adorned with a single hand painted rose on lid and base. Oval-shaped box measures apprx 4" x 3" x 1". Heart-shaped box measures apprx 4" x 4" x 1-1/2".

Ornately decorated Eichwald tureen features a floral and scrolling leaf design, accented by areas of gold quilting. Front of tureen features a brown bird joined by a cupid-figure. The cupid wears a yellow cloth around his waist. Hand-painted in vibrant shades of royal blue, yellow, rose, mint green and brown. Accented by areas of gilt. Overall measures apprx 19" x 18" x 7". Verso of tureen is inscribed "Eichwald, 1155".

292. RS Prussia Chocolate Service, Late 19th/Early 20th Century


A hand-painted chocolate service features the very popular orange poppy design. Service consists of one hot chocolate pot accompanied by six cups and saucers. Each piece is delicately painted with poppies in varying shades of orange, red and peach. Each cup is accented with gold trim. Chocolate pot measures apprx 10" x 8". Cups measure apprx 3" x 3" each. Saucers measure apprx 4-3/4" in diameter. Each piece is stamped with a green wreath with the letters "RS", the laurel and "Germany".
