277. Silver Repousse Vegetable Dish Silver (plate) repousse vegetable warming dish includes a simple lid, which would be placed over the bowl. A pierced tray was then set on the plain lid. Ornate legs are accented with flower. Repousse floral design on body and lid of dish. The lid inscribed with the initial "B" and has a small bone or ivory handle so that lid can be pushed back. Verso of dish is inscribed with the initals "W H" and stamped 1.5. Below is stamped "Hard soldered". Overall measures apprx 9" x 13". 100/200 Sold: $437.00 |

278. A Pair Of Nut Dishes, Sheffield Charming Sheffield silver salt and pepper shells. Scrolled handle and simple pedestal base. Verso of base is stamped "Made in Sheffield, England." One shell has the letter C and the second has the letter H. Decorative rope trim along outer edges. Exterior is inscised with a flower and vine motif. 279. Large Hand-Chased Chafing Dish Hand-chased silver (plate) chafing dish has a unique design. Cast ram's heads comprise the legs of this dish. Curved horns protrude from the legs. Base of legs are cast to resemble hooves. Rams are joined together by swags of leaves accented by a ribbon medallion in the center. Floral design hand chased across exterior of dish. Decorative finials are located at the sides of dish. Can be loosened or tightened to keep lid on or push lid back. Lid has a hand-chased floral design on exterior with smooth areas where initials can be engraved. Handle made from ivory or bone. Stamped M.H. & Co. on verso with several letters in small cartouches. Small set of salt and pepper shakers is marked "Gorham, Sterling 758" on verso. Larger salt and pepper shakers are marked "International Sterling, Weighted, Reinforced." Creamer is marked "Gorham Sterling, 910" and sugar is marked "Gorham Sterling, 909." Candlesticks are marked on verso "La Pierre Sterling." These pieces are weighted and reinforced.
