178. A Dutch Linen Press, C. 1780
A large linen press of, probably oak, two chamford doors with original hardware and lock and key set. On a sanitary base with square feet. There are two original shelves and a hidden compartment under the bottom shelf. Very primitive and massive. Apprx 72"H x 59-1/2" x 19"D.

179. A Victorian Entrance Door, C. 1910
An impressive oak door with beveled and leaded glass with a center star which is wheel cut. One side painted the other with varnish which has a nice patina. The door can easily be cut down to fit a smaller doorway. Does not have door knobs, old brass fitting is attached to door along with an old slide lock. Original hinges. Apprx 89-1/2" x 40"W

A primitive farm table with large simple turned legs with gently worn top, constant with age and use. Table top corners and edges are worn down to a bevel. Rich golden patina. Solid construction of French origin. 31-1/2"H x 72"L x 39-1/2"W.

181. English Sideboard, c. 1832
A lovely three drawer sideboard standing on slender legs. The central narrow drawer is flanked by two deeper drawers, all with brass pulls. The brasses have back-plates in circular form decorated with an urn and rope trim. Bail handles of conforming shape attached on each side to the back. These pulls do not appear to be original. The drawers are banded. Measures apprx 32" h x 21"d x 42"w and it dates circa 1832.

182. A Louis XVth Style Marquetry Commode, Late 20th Century
Reproduction Louis XV commode has French-styled brass appointments on all four corners, bottom center of front and all four legs. It is made from budrose with exotic wood inlay and has ormolu back-plates and filled brass ring pulls. The front of the commode has a musical theme with instruments and musical notes. Beveled rose-colored marble top. Legs ending in gilt "paw" sabots. Both drawers pull out and the bottom drawer can be locked with brass key. Apprx 34"H x 42"W x 19-1/8"D.

184. A Pair of Mies Van der Rohe Tubular-Steel Armchairs
The German born Mies Van der Rohe (1886-1969) was a well known architect, also known for his simple and elegant furniture. This pair of polished stainless steel chairs with sage green suede cushions were produced by the well-known Knoll Furniture Company of Chicago. They reflect many features of his work including careful proportions and a functionalist design of austere elegance. These chairs are apprx 33-1/2" x 34" x 25-1/2". There is a sticker on the verso of one cushion indicating that these were completed on July 27, 1978 by the Knoll Furniture Company for the National City Bank of Chicago. On verso of the other chair is an inventory number sticker.

186. Large Three Drawer Sideboard
A sideboard with three drawers, all having circular brass pulls. The central drawer has two pulls, and both side drawers have one pull each. Both side drawers open to reveal four silverware compartments. The left drawer has a small metal plaque reading "Dunbar - Berne, Indiana". The central drawer opens, with a sticker reading "property of U.M.K.C. Inv. No.1650". Under the central drawer is a locked cabinet, flanked on either side by mirrored sections. On verso is a paper receipt, also indicating " Dunbar, Berne, Indiana. It is apprx 33-1/4"H x 17-1/8"D x 75-1/8"W.

187. Small Chinese Chest Drawers, C. 1880
This two drawer chest is apprx 32-3/4"h x 30"w x 19"d with upturned edges at the top. The top drawer has a large square plaque with an oval pull. The bottom drawer has a smaller round brass plaque with a brass ring pull. All hardware appears to be original. Inside the top drawer is red wax export stamp reading "permission customs 802", also with Chinese characters. The bottom of the stamp appears to have been rubbed off or possibly smeared when it was stamped. Both drawers are bordered by 11 brass tack heads. The apron under the bottom drawer is carved with a floral design. There are also carved stylized floral decorations along both sides.
