| 284. A Herend Porcelain Rothchild Bird Pattern Basket
Hand-painted reticulated basket features gilded edges and applied "stalk" handles. The interior is hand-painted with birds on branches and butterflies. Four padded felt feet are attached to verso of basket. It measures apprx 18" x 11" x 6". Signed Herend Hungary on verso in blue. Verso is also stamped with Herend crest as well as the number 7405 RO. Herend is known throughout the world for its fine porcelain. Herend is actually a small town near Lake Balaton in western Hungary.
