| 286. "Voiture de Mariage de Napoleon I" Continental Porcelain, C. 19th Century
A hand-painted porcelain scene depicting the marriage carriage of Napoleon I. The royal carriage, accented by a crown and coat-of-arms is pulled by four white horses. The carriage is attended by two footmen, two drivers and one guard. The base of this piece is inscribed "Voiture de Mariage de Napoleon I". Carriage is accented by gilt and there are leather harnesses. The bride and groom are visible inside the carriage with wonderful detail. Base is brass and was constructed for lighting.
