289. Pair of Continental Porcelain Figures, Late 19th/Early 20th Century

Pair of porcelain figures in a Meissen style with scrolled footed bases. Pair of figures features a lovely lady wearing a tiered gown with lace ruffles. Hand-painted with polychrome enamels and detailed in gilt. She holds a small bouquet of flowers in her hand. Male figure wears blue breeches and a berry-colored coat. He also clutches a bouquet of flowers in one hand and his cream-colored glove in the other hand. Female figure measures apprx 17" x 13" x 11". Male figure measures apprx 17" x 11' x 9". Verso of both figure reads "Made in Italy" and the image of a crown over the letter "N", both of which are hand-painted in gold, possibly early Capodimonte.
