| 283. Sevres Ormolu Porcelain Bowl, C. 1900
Lovely hand painted ormolu porcelain bowl from the Sevres factory with over glaze blue mark. The Vincennes (later Sèvres) factory was established in 1738 at the Château de Vincennes in France. This bowl has an encased rim with bead work and handles accented by ribbon-like designs. It rests in a base with six paw legs joined by laurel swags. Base is stamped "France, Ovington New York". The hand-painted interior features beautiful pink, peach and violet-colored roses against a gilded and striped background with an oval center with a porcelain background and seven buds.
