| 310. Porcelain Standish, Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Sevres blue, porcelain inkwell features a scrolling acanthus and feather-like design. Hand-painted bouquet of roses and wildflowers adorns the center of the inkwell. Stands upon gilded scroll feet. Inkwell has a removable porcelain cup with gilded edges and decorative lid. Second removable porcelain cup has a pierced lid and was used to hold powder to blot up excess ink. This piece also has two small holes in which one would place a pen. Unmarked and unsigned. Overall measures apprx 7" x 9" x 8". 200/400 Sold $103.50 back to catalog |
