| 312. Two Robinson & Leadbetter Tinted Parian Figures
A pair of tinted parian figures by Robinson & Leadbetter. The 6 a.m. figure is a shoeshine boy. He wears a loose shirt and is in the process of cleaning a shoe with a scrub brush. He whistles while he works. A second shoe is set upon a tree stump. He is attached to a square-shaped base. Front of the base is inscribed "6 A.M." The second figure in this pair is another young boy, carrying a stack of newspapers under one arm. He holds the evening news in his other hand. The square base is inscribed "6 P.M." It appears that this is the same youth, at different times of the day. Back of each figure is inscribed with the letters "R & L" inside an oval cartouche. Each figure measures apprx 14" x 6". 400/600 back to catalog |
