400. The Watering Places of Great Britain and Fashionable Directory, Illustrated by W. H. Bartlett

London: Pulished for the Proprietors by I.T. Hinton, 17 Warwick Square 1831. 139 pp. "Dedicated To His Most Gracious Magesty William IV" and "Illustrated With Views". This book also has twenty two steel plate engravings (including the frontispiece) of Great Britain with important and informative text. It discontinues in mid-sentance on page 140, followed by plates and a directory. Marbled tan and blue end boards with matching marbled edges, 3/4 blue leather binding. Tooling on 3/4 leather and on spine decorated with gold and inserted red leather component. Brown end papers. Tissue between plates. "John Cain Douglas, Bookbinder" stamp on interior front board. Measures apprx 9" x 11".
