Louis Justin Laurent Icart was born in Toulouse, France in 1890 and died in Paris in 1950. By the late 1920's Icart was very successful with his etching and drawings. His wife, Fanny Volmers, was a source for his artistic inspiration. Icart is known for his sensous and even erotic portrayal of women.
