Probably from the The Artist's Repository and Drawing Magazine, Exhibiting the Principles of the Polite Arts in their Various Branches (vols. I, II, III, IV). A set of engravings of the four seasons, impressions on cream colored chain lined paper, printed in a sepia tone. Images in oval disk, surrounded by bay leaves and ribbon bow. Bottom of three read "London, Publish'd by H. Goldney Jan (Feb and March);1785 No.15 Paternoster Row." and the third reads "London, Publish'd July 1;1784 by C. Taylor No.10 near Castle Street Holborn." 200/250 Sold $46.00 back to catalog |
