It has a wide dark blue border with stylized floral designs flanked by two thinner borders on either side. The borders immediately next to the central wide border appear to be identical. Mahal (Mahallat) rugs and carpets have an interesting characteristic. One can find both tribal and curvature patterns. This attribute comes from unique position of the city of Mahallat. Mahallat is between the cities of Arak and Delijan as well as the path of tribal people of south of Iran.
