First edition, two parts bound as one, printed for the author and sold by Edwards in Pall-Mall and Halifax, 1788. Illustrated by 24 black and white etched plates. Blue contemporary cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine. Marbled edges. Fifty leaves with finely etched vignettes at the head and letterpress beneath, on the recto only. Printed on thick paper. This work was intended as a supplement to Pennant's Tour in Scotland. Measures apprx 5-1/2" x 8". 150/200 Sold $103.50 back to catalog |
