Sixteen maps from Captain Cook's voyage. Maps range in size from apprx 11"H x 20"W to 9"H x 11"W. These maps are dated from c. 1790. Some have been removed from books, chained lined paper with watermark "DuBoius" on several. Several plate by "Duff". Many have brown ink notations in upper margins.

647. Celestial Charts, c. 19th Century
Celestial chart depicting the Northern celestial hemisphere and the southern celestial hemisphere has been published by A & C Black, Edinburgh. Map was constructed and engraved by J. Bartholomew of Edinburgh. Measures apprx 13" H x 17" W. Second celestial chart is a selenographic map of the visible hemisphere of the moon. This chart measures apprx 9-1/2" H x 12" W. This grouping also includes a map of the heavens in November, December and January, a map of the heavens in January, February and March, a map of the heavens in April, May and June and a map of the heavens in August, September and October. These maps measure apprx 9-1/2" H x 12" W.
