522. A Satsuma Vase, Late 19th Century
Satsuma vase features a scene with a with figures surrounded by mountains and an ocean or lake. Accented with applied paint. Interior has a cream-colored glaze. Decorated shoulders with royal satsuma design. Vase measures apprx 9" H x 5" W. Unmarked or unsigned.

523. Pair of Cloisonne Containers
Pair of oriental-inspired cloisonne containers features one cylindrical container with a royal blue interior. Exterior is pale blue and accented by black curls and a blossoming flower pattern. Second cloisonne piece is a bulbous vase with a narrow neck. Brown exterior is adorned with a gold pattern of curls and feathers. Small container measures apprx 3-1/2" H x 3" W. Vase measures apprx 7" H x 4" W.

526. Miniature Inlaid Folding Screen
Japanese folding screen is made from hand-painted bamboo. In each section of the screen is a scene depicting a mother-of-pearl figure. The figure is shown in two different scenes, one with a small child and another carrying bags of food. Verso is painted with simple black flowers. Overall measures apprx 10" H x 15" W.

527. Antique Chinese Bowls, c. 19th Century
Blue and white Chinese bowls have a blue and white glaze. Each bowl depicts a scene with trees, mountains, and three figures dressed in kimonos. Also applied pink and green colours. Exterior of bowl is ornamented with flowers and geometric square design. Both bowls are unmarked and unsigned. Each bowl measures apprx 4" H x 10-1/2" W.

528. Pair of Blue & White Glazed Ginger Jars, c. Qing Dynasty
The first jar with missing lid has an overall transfer design of scrolls and vines with hand painted designs on each side. Verso is marked with a brown seal, stamped with Chinese characters and a paper label stating made in China. Had wooden lid. Measures apprx 7-3/4" H x 8" W. Second jar has a hand painted landscape design within a vignette, surrounded by swimming fish and boats, includes matching lid. Lid has been adhered to pot with green putty. Measures apprx 7" H x 8" W. This piece is unmarked.

529. Satsuma Tea Cups & Saucers, c. Meiji Period
All have wonderful, small, even crackle to the glaze and the artists were careful not to hide or cover up the entire crackle ground. These items have excellent colored renderings of the trees, plants, rocks and building. Highlights are piqued in gilt. There are six tea cups with matching saucers. Saucers measure apprx 4-1/2" D, cups measure apprx 2" H x 3" W. Each piece is marked on verso with gold over black Satsuma mark.

530. Noritaké Part Tea Service, Early 20th Century
This hand-painted and gilt porcelain tea service is comprised of six plates, six saucers, six tea cups, one creamer, one waste bowl and one bun tray. All pieces have been hand-painted with with images of pagodas, wooden bridges, people dressed in kimonos, birds, trees and mountains. Teacups have gilded handles. Most pieces are stamped "Noritake, Made in Japan" on verso, however several have faint ghost marks. Plates measure apprx 6" in diameter, saucers measure apprx 5-1/2" in diameter, cups measure apprx 2" H x 5" W, creamer measures apprx 4" H x 5" W, bowl measures apprx 2-1/2" H x 5" W and tray measures apprx 10" D.

531. A Set of Kutani Style Cups & Saucers, c. 20th Century
Porcelain set includes six footed saucers measuring apprx 5-1/4" D, two tea cups measuring apprx 2"H x 3-3/4" D, and four smaller tea cups measuring apprx 2"H x 3-1/4" D. Each saucer features mutiple vignettes depicting pagodas, fishing boats, villagers and mountainous landscapes. Each saucer is accented with gilt and has a scalloped edge. Verso is signed in red oriental lettering. Each cup has a matching design with gilded handles and petal-like base. The smaller tea cups are accented on the interior with delicately painted butterflies. All pieces are housed in a black case with pale colored silk lining. Case measures apprx 6" H x 15" W.
