180. Alabaster "Venus De Milo", c. 19th Century
After the famous Greek sculpture "Venus De Milo", also known as the Aphrodite of Melos. This alabaster copy measures apprx 33" H x 11" W x 9" D. This is a figure of a nude female with pleated drapery wrapped around her waist. The figure is sans arms, as was the original. Made from a lovely cream-colored alabaster.

Green marble statue with a matching green marble pedestal depicts a Madonna and Child. Comes with a removable golden halo. This statue may also double as a Mother and Child sculpture. Madonna and Child measure apprx 22" H x 28" W. Pedestal Measures apprx 40" H. Overall this statue measures apprx 62" H. Base of figural is inscribed "Costagli, 1968".

Bronze and marble sculpture by art nouveau sculptor A. Titze. Bronze sculpture of a horse drinking from a large black and white marble dish. Horse is signed "A. Titze." Verso lined with green felt. Horse has nice patina. Overall measures apprx 8" H x 16" W. Provenance: The Archbishop Hoban Estate, Cleveland, Ohio.

184. Charlotte H. Monginot (French, b. 1872)
A wonderful bronze of a princess holding a lantern and looking into the distance. She wears a tall pointed hat with a flowing ribbon at the end and a traditional dress with a corset top and long flowing skirt. She holds the front of her dress off the floor with her right hand, exposing a delicate slipper-type shoe as she steps down the stairs. Her face, neck and chest and her hands are ivory. This piece is signed in the front "Monginot". Behind her is what appears to be a fragment of a castle wall with ivy running down it. Overall apprx 14" tall.

A lovely Dore bronze, signed on the back of her dress "Monginot". Detailed flowing skirt secured at the top by a enameled ornament with a tambourine attached by a ribbon at the right side. On her head is a hat, also with enamel. She stands on a tiered white marble base with brown vein-like accents, with a bronze plate below. Measures apprx 15-1/2" H x 4-1/4" D at base.

188. Louis Valentin Elias Robert (French 1821-1874)
Bronze mounted to a marble base and plinth, signed in bronze "Elias Robert". Gold green patina, apprx 7", apprx 10" overall. Robert was a student of David d'Angers and Pradier. He exhibited at the Salon from 1845, specializing in busts and heads of his contemporaries; allegorical groups and sculptures for public buildings. His allegories include "France Crowning Art and Industry", "Agriculture and Industry", and "Drama".
