184. Charlotte H. Monginot (French, b. 1872) A wonderful bronze of a princess holding a lantern and looking into the distance. She wears a tall pointed hat with a flowing ribbon at the end and a traditional dress with a corset top and long flowing skirt. She holds the front of her dress off the floor with her right hand, exposing a delicate slipper-type shoe as she steps down the stairs. Her face, neck and chest and her hands are ivory. This piece is signed in the front "Monginot". Behind her is what appears to be a fragment of a castle wall with ivy running down it. Overall apprx 14" tall. 1,000/1,200 Sold: $1,265.00 |

Detailed flowing skirt secured at the top by a enameled ornament with a tambourine attached by a ribbon at the right side. On her head is a hat, also with enamel.
