Leaf from an Indian manuscript. Professionally matted. Such manuscripts contained the texts of the epics, the Puranas and Sthala Puranas. Hand-written, the script is encased in a gilded border. There are four columns of script divided by one horizontal sections of blue script. All of the writing is in black ink. Diacritical dots indicate that this is a later manuscript leaf.
