532. Asian Desk Stamp Box, c. 1920
Brass box has overall incised bird and scroll design. A light apple jade carved medallion is prong set into the hinged lid. The carving depicts a female holding a potted flowering plant. Unmarked and unsigned, measures apprx 1-1/2" T x 3" D x 3-1/2" W.

533. Trio of Chinese Marionettes, Early/Mid 20th Century
This trio of Chinese marionettes includes a red faced man, a princess and a bearded man. The red faced man has a red and white head with stars painted above the eyes. The body is draped in a white silk robe with blue accents. Measures apprx 18" H x 11" W. The princess marionette wears a sparkling purple gown with rabbit fur accents. Her hair is worn in an intricate updo accented with a purple satin ribbon. This puppet measures apprx 26" H x 10" W. The last marionette in this group is that of a bearded man. He wears white robes with bright pink accents. His long hair is in two pony tails with red ribbon accents. Measures apprx 24" H x 11" W.

535. A Lot of Three Japanese Woodblocks, 20th Century
The first in this small group is a blue woodblock of a bridge, signed upper and lower left corners, framed overall apprx 19" x 16-3/4". The second woodblock depicts a street with buildings and trees in brown tones, signed upper left corner, framed overall apprx 20" x 14-1/2". The last woodblock is a lovely view of another bridge, this time with cherry blossoms in the foreground, signed lower left corner, framed overall apprx 19" x 14".

537. Snakeskin Landscape
View of a Chinese pagoda with a second building located in the background. Image made entirely from snakeskin. Tags on the verso indicate that this is a depiction of the Ching Fu Men, a historic city gate located in Taipei, Taiwan. Made from the skins of snakes including the agkistrodon, cobra, grass snake, sea snake and the South China snake. It is said that pictures such as this bring blessings and rid homes of evil. Overall with frame, this piece measures apprx 13" H x 19" W.
