211. Large Victorian Hall Mirror


Large Victorian hall mirror of carved wood. Mirror has four carved candle arms at the bottom and a beautifully carved frame. At the top is a detailed carving of fruits and vegetables with vines cascading down. It appears the the mirror was originally gilt, but it has been painted over. Mirror appears to be original. Measures apprx 66" H x 44" W.

212. Wonderful Mother of Pearl Panel Bar


When closed this piece appears to be a beautiful side cabinet with four black panels with mother of pearl inlay and gold hand painted details. Each panel is a scene with two female figures of mother of pearl in various poses, with fruits and vegetables in the foreground, including peppers, mushrooms and what appear to be lychee fruit. Hand painted gold details include birds in the sky, trees, waves on the water. When opened the top of this piece is two framed wood panels, the central sections in the shape of a star-burst. When the two top sections are opened, they reveal three green marble sections with white veins, including a large rectangle flanked by two squares. When the cabinet is opened, with brass bell shaped pulls which are mounted on flower shaped escutcheons, a bar is revealed. Measures apprx 41" H x 36" W x 18" D when closed and 72" W when open.

213. Mahogany Dressing Mirror, Signed and Dated, 1833


An English mahogany dressing mirror with lovely rosewood banding. Mirror has curved arms with whalebone finials. Base has one large central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers, all with whalebone pulls and it stands on whalebone feet. Drawers all have dovetail construction and central drawer is signed "Made on board shop Clarkson at sea 1833 by Tom Gill". Measures apprx 20-1/2" x 22" x 9-1/2".

S. Kirk & Sons etched glass oil lamp features an etched clear glass shade with an overall leaf and flower pattern. Base stamped "S. Kirk & Sons". Dial on side of lamp is marked "Hink's Duplex, No. 2". Body has a fan-like design and is attached to a black porcelain base. Overall measures apprx 28" H x 9" W.

Wooden table with base carved into the form of an elephant. Checker board table top with a second board underneath. Made from several different types of inlaid wood. The elephant has a simple, stylized form and ivory accents. Table is apprx 20" H x 18" W x 18" D.

218. Mahogany Hepplewhite Letter Stand


This mahogany letter stand has four compartments, the central divider with a handle is the largest, and the dividers on either side in ascending size. Both exterior ends have lovely inlay banding and a central inlaid shell decoration. The support is straight and narrow and also has inlaid banding, ending in four splayed banded inlay legs. This piece measures apprx 36" H x 24" x 24".

219. French Cherub Andirons, Mid-19th Century


A great pair of gilt andirons with two cherubs, with garlands in their hair and a small piece of cloth draped across their laps, sitting on either side of a large urn. The urn is very decorative with lovely details and a large swag draped across the front. This piece also has what appears to be a flame at the top. They measure apprx. 17-1/2" H x 12" W x 6" D.

A windsor chair with carved central back splat flanked by straight spindles atop a slightly curved arm rest. Under the arm rest is another row of spindles, all of which are carved as well, including a continuation of the central splat. Legs are also carved. Measures apprx 43-1/2" H x 25-1/2" W x 19" D.
