Rich wooden writing desk has lovely rectangular wood inlay and brass hinges and brass appointments. Open to provide surface for writing. Black satin tab pulls open a section which one can put paper and writing utensils in. Groove near top holds pens and pencils. Open, this piece measures apprx 18" H x 16" W. Closed the writing desk resembles a box, measuring, 9" H x 16" W.
