407. A Warwick Double Handled Urn, Late 19th Century

Warwick vase has a brown pedestal vase, graduating to shades of yellow, and back to brown again at the rim and handles. The central section of the vase is hand painted with bouquets of pink roses. The handles are ornate and the rim has a gilt border. Verso marked with the name "Warwick" above a profile of a knight and the letters "IOGA". Measures apprx 14" H x 7-1/2" W.

Warwick china was made in Wheeling, West Virginia, in a pottery working from 1887 to 1951. The most familiar Warwick has a shaded brown background.
