| 433. Four Porcelain Tabatieres
This grouping includes a round box with red background and blue and gold highlights. Verso marked "AK, Kaiser, W Germany", apprx 2-1/2" in diameter. The second round box is white with two delicate blue stripes with gold dots around the base. Verso marked with the "Limoges France" stamp as well as "Ancienne Manufacture Royale, Fondee en 1737, Limoges France", measuring apprx 1-1/2" H x 3" in diameter. This grouping also includes a small rectangular box, marked on verso "Haviland, Limoges, France." This piece is white with a gold border and white flowers around the base. Measures apprx 3-5-8H " x 2"W. Final box is a red porcelain egg with "Christmas 1985" painted on the top in a border of holly and gold ribbon. Measures apprx 3". Verso marked "Royal Orleans, the designer mark, c. 1985, Japan". Ancienne Manufacture Royale is the oldest manufacture of Porcelain of Limoges. Haviland is the most famous porcelain factory of Limoges. It was founded in 1842 by an American named David Haviland. 150/250 Sold $74.75 back to catalog |
