"Chicadee and Kinglet". Oil on masonite. This particular painting is a charming depiction of two birds. The birds are perched on a wire strung between two driftwood posts. Below is a partially eaten ear of corn and a green insect. In the background a middle-eastern city looms up against a cloud filled sky. It is signed "Paul Riba" in the lower right corner. Features an original wood frame with beige linen mat. Board measures apprx 14" H x 25" W. Overall with frame the painting measures apprx 22" H x 33" W.

Paul Riba is most well known for his genre scenes, murals, landscapes and still life subjects, often with an imaginary format. Often the objects are juxtaposed to present an almost surreal quality.
