"Food for Thought". This is a pair of decorative still lifes, both of a table top with various objects including tomatoes. Images are tempera on board, matted and one is under plastic. Signed lower left, they measure 8" x 10" image size and 12" x 14" overall.
John Toby Drake was born in Lakewood, Ohio. He attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cooper School of Art and Kent State University. He won a Cleveland Museum of Art May Show award in 1945 for a painting of Playhouse Square.
