| 529. Satsuma Tea Cups & Saucers, c. Meiji Period
All have wonderful, small, even crackle to the glaze and the artists were careful not to hide or cover up the entire crackle ground. These items have excellent colored renderings of the trees, plants, rocks and building. Highlights are piqued in gilt. There are six tea cups with matching saucers. Saucers measure apprx 4-1/2" D, cups measure apprx 2" H x 3" W. Each piece is marked on verso with gold over black Satsuma mark. 175/250 Sold $178.25 back to catalog |
