Another charming bronze sculpture by the German artist Siggy Puchta. This piece depicts a bronze seal atop a gray marble base. Signed in bronze "S". Sticker on verso reads "Siggy Puchta, No. 12". Sticker is partially torn away but it is known to be from a series of 250. Measures apprx 2-1/2" H x 3" W. Born in Germany, Siggy Puchta came to Canada in 1953 at the age of nineteen. Son of a woodcarver, he took an early interest in the art of modeling and sculpturing.
