Kurdish carpet, possibly Iranian, is dated c. 1950 and measures apprx 5'4" x 8'2". Overall ruby red field has navy blue centralized medallion with directional flowers. Corners feature geometric and stylized designs of various insects. Colors include ruby, gold, olive, navy, salmon and cream. Three ribbon borders are filled with scrolling vines and geometric flowers.
