This group of maps depicts the northern and southern hemispheres. The map of the eastern and western hemisphere was drawn and engraved for Thomson's New General Atlas by W. & D Lizars, Edinburgh. This assortment of maps also includes a french map depicting the north and south poles and two maps of the north and south poles by J & C Walker, dated c. 1852. Maps range in size from 21-1/2" H x 27" W to 17" H x 15" W.
