274. Vivian Alexander Classic Egg Purse This brilliant red translucent enameled minaudiere features a gold design of acanthus leaves and fleurs-de-lis. Four lockets containing 18th century scenes are guarded by double headed Imperial eagles and laurel wreaths. Simulated pearls surround the lockets and top the fluted golden columns. Egg is adorned with golden garlands and bows and topped with a large Austrian crystal. This purse is a reproduction of one from the Forbes Imperial Collection of works by Fabrege. Marked on hinged clasp "Vivian Alexander". Interior is lined with cream-colored silk. Purse comes with a cream silk change pouch with cloisonne bead accent. Complimenting the green enamel are bands of brilliant translucent crimson enamel over gold, bordering the patterned green panels that have lovely golden eagle and laurel wreath ornamentation. 276. Millenium Edition Faberge Imperial Napoleon Egg This is a reproduction of the breathtaking Imperial Napoleonic Egg by Peter Carl Faberge. The original egg was given to the Dowager Empress Marie by her son, Czar Nicholas II on 1912, for the anniversary of the defeat of Napoleon at Borodino. This egg is crafted out of translucent green enamel over a guilloche ground and decorated in the Empire style with double-headed eagles and military trophies on each panel. Panels are framed by 865 hand-set Austrian crystals and 24K gold leafing. Nestled inside the egg is an elaborate six-panel folding frame with 975 hand set crystals. 277. Lilies-of-the-Valley Faberge Style Egg A reproduction of the 1898 Lilies-of-the-valley Faberge Imperial egg. This gold egg is enameled with a translucent rose on a guilloche field and supported by four cabriolet legs composed of overlapping leaves veined with hand set crystals. Paw feet are set with pearls. Located inside the egg are three oval miniatures of Nicholas II in his military uniform and the Grand Duchesses Olga and Tatiana, the first two children of the Czar.
