Pair of possibly Schneider glass paperweights feature black and white images of two American presidents; Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt. These images are set within a border of pink, green and white glass flowers. Verso of paperweights feature iris blue and teal glass flecked with gold. Both paperweights measure apprx 3-1/4" H x 3-1/2" W. Possibly Schneider, however signature not found.
Charles and Ernest Schneider, who originally worked for the Daum brothers left Daum around 1912, and recommissioned an old glassworks under the name Schneider Freres et Wolff (Schneider Brothers and Wolff), a few miles north of Paris in 1913. The Schneider brothers were most well known for their production of le verre francais as well as glass paperweights.
