Tested 14K yellow gold multi-level garnet brooch. This brooch is oval in shape and measures apprx 1-1/2" x 1-1/8". The center contains an elongated oval cut garnet which is bezel set. This garnet measures apprx 11mm x 5.5mm and weighs apprx 1.72 cts. This brooch contains three levels of rose cut garnets. The bottom level contains twenty-four garnets which measure 3.5mm in diameter. The next level contains eighteen garnets measuring apprx 3.5mm in diameter and fourteen garnets which measure 2mm. The smaller garnets are mounted between the larger ones. The top level contains fourteen garnets which measure apprx 2.5mm in diameter. The total weight of garnets is apprx 12.64 cts. Garnets are a deep brownish-red, well matched. Brooch weighs apprx 8.3 grams.
