127. Fernand-Louis Gottlob (French, 1873-1935)

"2e Exposition Des Pientres Lithographes" on the upper left and "Du 10 au 25 Janvier, Salle du Figaro Rue Drouot" on the upper right. The artist's name "F. Gottlob" and "Atelier Gottlob, 45 Rue de Belleviller" are on the lower left. The poster shows the back and partial profile of a woman dressed in a full skirt and a large hat examining art work in a folio rack. Gottlob was a student of Jobbe-Duval, Laporte and G. Fuchs. He worked as a portraitist, graphic artist and book illustrator during Belle Epoque period. Framed under glass and overall size is apprx 49" H x 33-1/4" W. Image size is apprx 44-1/4" H x 29" W.
